Nottingham Trent University approached us to create a website that showcased the work of their graduating photography students. Staying true to the events branding, they required a solution that didn't take any attention away from the work on show.
Given that Pete, our Technical Director, is a graduate of Nottingham Trent University, we were only too happy to help when they approached us to design and build the Photo XV website.
As the cornerstone of the marketing strategy for the event, and potential launch platform for the careers of 89 graduate photographers, we understood the importance of this project. In order to truly get to grips with exactly what was required, it was really important for us to work closely with a team of the students involved.
What we delivered was a design that built upon preordained brand guidelines and provided the perfect environment for the photography students to exhibit a selection of their work online. We tied the site in with social networking platforms and used Google maps to create an interactive means by which to explore where the exhibitions were taking place.
We tailored Bamboo (our custom built content management system) so that the students had the freedom to log in and create their own individual profiles as well as upload samples of their work, embed videos and link to their own websites. We granted the freedom to manage venue details as well as any feedback received via the site.
Above all else we wanted to create a site that communicated the XV brand without being intrusive to the work itself. We're really pleased with the results and although the show is now finished, we still strongly urge you to click over to the site and have a look at the fantastic work on show.
PANDR were professional and supportive throughout the whole process. They were friendly, down to earth and receptive to changes and ideas every step of the way. The end result was superb and was better than we could have hoped for!
